SHANGHAI Feb. 2 (Xinhua) China Eastern Airlines' first cross-Strait charter flight of 2008 took off from snow-covered Shanghai on schedule on Saturday morning taking Taiwan compatriots home for the Spring Festival. The A330-300 plane carrying 299 passengers went through an hour of de-icing before moving onto the runway at 11:00 a.m. has increased to 52 the number of February flights it is canceling because of a high number of pilot retirements. But it also warned of turmoil ahead.
